The Deluxe edition is digital-only and adds the Deluxe Kit on top of the base game: three extra charms (Oni Lady, Little Dancer and Mentor), four sword appearances (including Raizen and Enryu), a red armor outfit for Musashi, and the crimson lotus gauntlet skin.

The Deluxe pre-order also added two more items — the white monkey charm and the white lion sword appearance — for four bonus items total instead of two. The extra charms carry gameplay value, but the sword appearances and outfits are purely visual.

The Premium Deluxe edition includes everything in the Deluxe Kit plus the Premium Kit: outfits for Izumo no Okuni (flower dance, goldfish dance and Oni dance), outfits for the Oni Lady, three Haori coats for Musashi (hellfire, moonlight and cloud biter), and an in-game mini digital soundtrack.

It carried the same four pre-order bonuses as the Deluxe edition. Physical copies were found slightly cheaper than digital at launch, so shopping around mattered for the top tier.

If you only want the base game, the Standard physical edition is the cheapest route — launch-day physical copies were found below the digital RRP at some retailers. The Deluxe edition is only worth the extra if cosmetics and extra charms genuinely matter to you.

The Premium Deluxe edition is aimed at day-one fans who want the complete cosmetic collection and the soundtrack. None of the extra tiers change the core gameplay in a meaningful way, so do not overpay for cosmetics you will forget after the first hour.
