Musashi's rival, revived by his own Oni Gauntlet and driven to slaughter for souls.
Sasaki Ganryu, also known as Kojirō, is Musashi's rival. He is revived by his own Oni Gauntlet, which houses the Oni spirit Gioh, and becomes obsessed with its power — slaughtering humans to absorb their souls. He defeats Musashi early on, and later absorbs Takamura's soul to open the gate to Hell before Yoshitsune kills him.

Ganryu defeats Musashi early in the story, so expect to fight him multiple times as a recurring wall.

Learn his attack patterns and save Oni Armament charge for his dangerous phases.

In Carnage (New Game+) difficulty, Ganryu gains his own Issen and will occasionally counter your attacks, so keep your deflects sharp.
